With the implementation of Vuetura, we’re no longer the whipping post; now we’re the place the staff goes for information,” Kinard noted.

SPU’s entrance into a new era began with a new mail center package tracking system. The system they had been using for years was “old school”, as Kinard said. One more key change is the ability to track packages anywhere on campus, no matter where they might be. “I can track equipment on campus without having to do adjustments,” Kinard said. “We give each cart a name, assign it to someone, and then use the system to track everything about the cart and the packages on the cart. We’ve cut staff, saved money, and do things speedier and more efficiently. It’s a user friendly system.”
SPU and Kinard quickly came to understand that the expense of implementing an automated package tracking system was outweighed by the benefits of the system.
